On Appearances

So, I made this photo my fb profile pic. I thought to myself, "i always choose a picture that I like or I think I look nice in...soooo... I decided to take a little different route this time. What were my results? I've had the most likes on this photo than any other one.The photo that comes 2nd to this..is the one i took at prom. See a correlation? Me neither.

What are people seeing?

Reminds me of 1 Samuel when Samuel is sent by God to chose the king of Israel (since they wanted a physical king). Jesse had several sons, of whom David was the youngest. Surely God wasn't going to choose the little shepherd boy with his music to be the next king of Israel right? WRONG

1 Samuel 16:7   But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
