Hey guyss, Waa gwaan? I just wanted to take some time to share a story with you. So, this is something that gets me about God all the time! The fact that He is the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End, First and Last, Creator of all things, Most Powerful, Sovereign, Holy, Holy, God, yet He cares about us and is so involved in our lives. That truth blows my mind.
I'm sure this has probably happened to you before: you want to get something from the grocery store really badly, and then you go there...only to get EVERYTHING else, but what it is you came in for?
So, long story short, I've been wanting to get dates (the fruit...lol, just for clarification) for a while now. I went to the grocery store yesterday and COMPLETELY forgot about them...until I went to get the bananas. Right in front of the bananas they had dates!! AHH!!! I literally got SOOO happy because I knew had they not been there, I would have walked out the store, arrived home..and at some point thought "aww man, I forgot to get dates".
So, whats the take away lesson?: God is intimately involved in the lives of His children. Be encouraged to invite Him, and speak to Him about everything, even the seemingly insignificant things of your life, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Luke 12:7 reminds us that God knows the number of hairs on our head!
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Luke 12:27 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
P.S Just for clarification, just because you DO forget to get something from the grocery store (which has definitely happened to me) doesn't mean that God loves you any less, or that you aren't abiding in Him. I just find great joy in realizing the little "love notes" from God to His people in our everyday lives, and wanted to share it with you.
Do you have any stories of God's reminder of love in your life? Comment!!
