Hey Guys,
So, I'm reading through Joshua and in chapter 4, God commands Joshua to tell the people of Israel to gather stones and place them as a reminder of when He stopped the Jordan River, allowing the Israelites to cross it on dry land.
Joshua 4:20-24
"20 And those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal. 21 And he said to the people of Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in times to come, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 22 then you shall let your children know, ‘Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.’ 23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over, 24 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that' the hand of the Lord is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”
I keep a journal. I have for some years now. My journal entries as well as these blog posts, serve as my Ebenezers. They serve as reminders to myself and others of God's continued faithfulness to His people.
Another thing to note, is that these stones were not just a reminder to the people themselves, but to their children also. God is such a multi-generational, and relational God. Notice how the verse ends with "all the peoples of the earth may know". Let's not be afraid to recount the stories of God's never-ending love to others. As Jer 9:24 implies, Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord .
What do you do to remember the awesome things that God has done in your life? Comment and let me know.

My bf had his hopes set on a particular race but they changed him into another, of course, he was upset but I just told him to trust God. In the end his goals for the day were met only by the race that he participated in. God knew that his goals were too big for the initial race and so he changed him. What a faithful and gracious God!?
