Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you in great health, and complete enjoyment of
the springtime sun. I would like to begin by giving you all an update
of the recent happenings in my life. I am now approaching the end of my
2nd year at the Florida State University as a Family and Child Sciences
major, and I am thoroughly soaking up all the life lessons I have been
learning. While here in college, I have found a strong body of believers
that have really helped to spur and further my relationship with Christ,
and reaching the lost with the Gospel.
Moreover,
as the summer approaches, I have been given the wonderful opportunity
to embark on a mission trip to Jamaica with my church, Every Nation
Tallahassee. For one week (May 26th - June 1), myself and other members from my church will
be working on various projects at the New Generation Christian Camp in
St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica. New Generation Christian Camp (NGCC) provides a
campsite that is frequently utilized for children summer programs,
church retreats, as well as team building projects for other organizations. The mission of NGCC is not to solely meet the physical
needs of individuals, but also to provide a location where the older
generation can impact and lead the newer generation in greater spiritual
devotion to Christ. That being said, the goal of this mission trip is
to further the construction of the new sleeping cottage, assemble a GaGa
ball pit ( a new ball game for the children), bring donated goods to
Chester basic school, and hopefully get the opportunity to visit Dunns
River Falls. The completion of these projects will greatly affect the
lives of not only the volunteers, but most importantly positively impact
the lives of each and every individual or group that spends time at
this campsite.
Family and friends, I am writing this letter in hopes that you will
join me on this amazing adventure. First, I would like to request your
earnest prayer as embark on this journey. Please take time to pray for
the team’s safety during our travel and lodge, as well as strength to
diligently work on these projects. Additionally, I would like to ask
that you partner with me by considering to donate to the costs that
accompany this project. As of now, I am seeking to raise $800 dollars,
which will serve to cover all the project, lodging, and meal
expenses. Will you join me in making an eternal difference in the lives
of these individuals? Every prayer and donation will be tremendously
appreciated.
With Gratitude,
Diana
