A Broken People

Well, the semester is on it's way you guys...and I have some news to announce: I am considering a major change....literally a Major change. Im so cheesy :) So, I am prayerfully considering changing my major to Social Welfare from Family and Child Sciences. I have had a series of events, observations, and encounters with people that have really opened my eyes to how broken humanity is. I mean, God has really just been showing me how hurt and in need of love, deliverance, and redemption people are. Obviously, I believe that whatever field God calls a person to, they can be a light for Christ in that occupation. That being said, I started taking an interest to Social Work after my mission trip to Jamaica earlier this year.
I guess I'm just realizing how we all seem to be wearing a well decorated mask, some more-so than others. We are guarded and afraid to let our guards down. We're hurt, broken-hearted, and tired. But, there is hope.

Jesus says:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Mat 11:28-30
