Into the Glorious

My Thanksgiving break was wonderful. There’s something about being with the people you love….with lots of yummy food that sets the atmosphere for a great time. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve really been more aware of just how wonderfully blessed I am to have the family that I do. Of course, we aren’t perfect- far from it, but God has graced us with a whole lot of love! One thing I can say though, is that there is something about being filled by God that NO ONE, not even family can compare to.

Have you ever been in a place in your life where everything was going great, but your heart felt empty? For the past 3 weeks or so, I’ve just been having some moments when I just felt as if I’m just going through the motions. I HATE just going through the motions. I HATE just going through the motions. As the semester comes to a close, my prayer is that we can all finish strong! The other night I took some time in prayer and just asked God to bring His glorious into the mundane (a concept I got from a video I watched…I’ll post it below). I think those words sum it perfectly though. I want God in all His glory to consume me every moment of every day. I want to abide. To have a heavenly perspective at all times.

In His faithfulness, God answered. After praying that prayer, and having to remind myself that HE hears my prayers (I sometimes second-guess), the first song that comes on Pandora is called “Into the Glorious” by Christy Nockels. Haha. I began to smile, and laugh. It was like God’s way of saying, “Diana, I know the desire of your heart, and I am faithful. “ And just in case the message didn’t sink in, later on that night when I woke up (I wake up several times a night…weird?...I know) and turned back on my Pandora, the first song that came on was called “Glorious” by Chris Tomlin. How amazing is Jesus???  How amazing Jesus is!! Coincidence? Nahh! That clearly was a God Incidence! So be encouraged you guys. Even in the moments when you feel…dry, or just like…”bleh” (that’s the perfect way to describe it), we have a God who restores. He restores the joy of our salvation (Psalm 51:12).
